Free Resources

Education is one of the most powerful tools we have for creating safety, understanding, and peace for everyone to live their best lives.

Lavender Library Press offers free Turtle Island/Canadian/2SLGBTQI+ resources designed to help individuals, educators, workplaces, families, and community spaces (like libraries, shopping malls, online groups and more) become more informed, affirming, and inclusive. These tools are practical, accessible, and rooted in lived experience and education, not fear, misinformation, or performative allyship.

Before starting Lavender Library Press, I was a teacher and was abroad for over 10 years. Education has always been how I build bridges, challenge harm, and create room for people to live more authentically, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and any other social construct. This resource library exists for the same reason: the more we understand each other, the safer, freer, and friendlier we all become.

These resources are free because there should be no gatekeeping on safety, dignity, and education.

Whether you’re learning for yourself, supporting someone you love, or working to make your space more inclusive, you’re welcome here. Thank you for showing up and doing the work.

*This free resource is simply my perspective on how to grow your self-confidence (2SLGBTQI+ or allies alike).

Language and experiences MAY vary,

and individuals ALWAYS define themselves and their experiences.

*This free resource is here to help people grow stronger, more confident, and more grounded, without losing their softness or spark. It’s for 2SLGBTQ+ people and allies who are tired, trying, but still showing up, navigating life with courage and heart.

Human identity is beautifully complex.

This free resource is not a complete list of every identity.

Instead, it’s an open-minded way to understand

how different parts of identity relate to each other.

We can all exist in one, many, or none of these categories

and they can change over time.

*This free resource is simply one way to create a safe space within your community. Language and experiences MAY vary, and individuals ALWAYS define themselves.

I offer a free PDF copy of this book for three important reasons.

First, as a sincere thank you for being part of this glowing and growing community; your presence, support, and shared humanity make this work possible.

Second, because representation should be accessible. Queer stories save lives, build understanding, and help people feel seen and that shouldn’t come with any gatekeeping or paywall.

Third, this allows readers (especially librarians, educators, and those creating safe spaces) to review the content before purchasing a physical copy. While I believe this book is age-appropriate, I also respect that communities and institutions may have different standards.
