Books have always been dangerous; dangerous to silence, to prejudice, to the systems that fear free thought. That’s exactly why we need them.

This page is our growing shelf of banned and challenged books: queer and not-queer, classic and contemporary, tender and radical. Each one has been censored somewhere for daring to tell the truth, spark curiosity, affirm identity, or simply make readers think a little differently.

Some of these books are personal favourites we couldn’t put down. Others are recommendations from our community and allies who believe that no one should lose access to stories that matter. We share them here because we believe books are meant to be read, not hidden.

Whether it’s a queer coming-of-age novel, a history that pulls no punches, or a children’s book that celebrates love in all forms, every banned book here has survived attempts to silence it. Reading them is an act of resistance, joy, and connection.
