Lavender Library Press is more than a publisher; it’s a queer-run indie press and creative house for book lovers, journal makers, and anyone who wants to live authentically and joyfully.

It all began with Rainbow Soup for the Queer Soul, inspired by the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul books I cherished as a teen; books that made me feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Books that left an impression on an impressionable soul. 

 

I’ve always loved reading and writing, and I wanted to give others that same feeling of being seen, understood, and inspired through stories and creative expression. That first anthology was more than a project; it was a revelation, showing me the power of community, creativity, and heartfelt stories to lift people up.

From there, Lavender Library Press has grown into a vibrant hub for queer expression.

On this site I offer:

     ✨Books: community-recommended booklists, our flagship Rainbow Soup series, and selection of works in progress.

     ✨Journals & Journaling Bundles: guided queer and LGBTQ+ self-discovery journals, junk journaling kits, and themed goodie bags filled with a variety of goodies to brighten anyone's day.

     ✨Rainbow Goodies: mugs, tumblers, stickers, t-shirts, hoodies, and other colourful accessories to shine some pride and spread some joy in everyday life.

 

The mission is inspired by the idea to be the change you want to see in the world:

     ✨Be representation through our own queer projects.

     ✨Share representation by uplifting community stories, and sharing queer goodies and book recommendations.

     ✨Encourage representation so LGBTQ+ people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered to shine.

I started this press because I wanted to build more than just books; I wanted to share the joy of being seen, heard, and felt, and give others a space to do the same. Every journal filled, every book read, every sticker or goodie placed somewhere special reminds me why I do this: so everyone can live their most authentic, colourful, and inspired queer life.
